My Two Dream Jobs

When I’m done with college, my dream job is to be able to travel around the world and explore places I’ve never been to. Two of the main jobs I want to try to achieve in my future would becoming an International Broadcaster or a Movie Director. These are amazing jobs in which I can help better myself, keep learning, and improving my skills in communication.

I can remember going to Vidcon in 2010 to help them out with the huge convention in Los Angeles, California. A friend of mine, who worked in the Hollywood district, took me to a broadcasting studio and showed me around.  While in the broadcast studio, I met many great people who did International Broadcasting for a living. Then after this, I went to talk to some movie directors while in LA. They taught me many valuable skills that will help me when I do directing at Buena Vista University.

Overall, either of these jobs will be a pretty amazing career choice after getting out of college.

Playing Games Online

In the world of online video games, there are a lot of learning experiences you can explore. You can meet a variety of people around the world that share the same interests as you. In addition, online gaming can help you with your communication skills.

Playing games online is a great stress relief for me because I can just relax and let everything in my mind calm down. I have been doing this since I was in middle school. The type of games I enjoy online are adventure games and action games. I like the adventure games because it’s like I am on a real adventure, and those games are relaxing. One of these adventure games would be World of Warcraft. I like action games because those have amazing graphics.

Overall, playing online games is a great way to relax yourself and better yourself as a person.

Helping Out With Digital Media On Campus

This video is an example of what I do on the Tack team, where I am the Co-Multimedia Director. This video below is about the new soccer coach that won the most wins in the history of Buena Vista University.

I enjoy helping out with anything related to Digital Media on campus. An example of this would be making videos for one of my co-curricular activities I’m involved in, which is the Tack. I am also involved with the University Cable Network, where I do most of the camera work for the football game, basketball game, 3 On BVU, etc. In addition, I sometimes help out with KBVU which is the radio station on campus. The activities I help with include EdgeFest and EdgedOut. The Tack is now an online newspaper, which we are expanding.

The reason why I enjoy helping out with the Tack, University Cable Network, and KBVU is because it will help me later in life when I go out in the real world to become an International Broadcaster, which is my dream job.

My Childhood Life

Imagine yourself out on the mat fighting for 3 minutes while the clock is ticking down slowly. The audiences around you are cheering and shouting your name to shoot, sprawl, standup, and turn your opponent to his back and win. This sport is called and wrestling and to this day, it is my favorite sport. I  started my career when I was 6 years old.

During my childhood my best memories would be wrestling in middle school. A story I can remember is that everyday at the beginning of practice my coach named Mr. Kopriva would always start us out with a game called Grip. In this game the objective is to hold each others’ hand tightly and not to break loose.  Whoever was the last person standing didn’t have to do much conditioning at the end of practice.  A trick that I always used in this game was to be in the middle of two huge dudes so I wouldn’t be able to break off so easily. When doing this, I was usually the last person standing because I was around 90 lbs during middle school.

Another story I can remember was on the very first tournament in 5th grade I managed to get first place with one of my best moves. It’s called the cradle. This day started out with weigh in at around 7am, which is usual for a wrestling tournament on Saturday. There were around 150 kids wrestling and I had a 16 man bracket in my weight division. My first round was easy. I pinned the kid in 45 seconds. Then the second round, the semi-finals, I won by a 10-6 point decision. Finally, on the final match I won by a 1min and 30 second pin by using my cradle.

As you can tell, wrestling in 5th grade was one of the best childhood memories I can remember.

Why I Chose To Make Videos

6 years ago while I was searching the internet, a site targeted my mind that showed millions of videos about many different things. This site was called YouTube and it was about broadcasting yourself. I first started making animation videos in the fall of 2005 about a game called Runescape. This is a massive multiplayer online game (MMOG) to put my wonderful creations on the web. A channel I started was called Tehnoobshow. On this channel the videos you will find are short animation comedy about the three gods of Runescape. The name of the gods are Guthix, Zamorak, and Saradomin.

Then one by one the videos I created with my friends and put on Tehnoobshow expanded so I became a YouTube Partner. After I became a YouTube partner I started to make money off the ads that were put onto my channel. In addition, I became famous on Runescape. Throughout this process a person that inspired me to start making real life videos to help me better understand more about video making was Jerry Johnson. He is a professor at Buena Vista University.

Overall after discovering YouTube, I’ve been making videos for my fans to watch.
